Space, the final frontier... that's what Star Trek involves, and exploration is at the heart of its focus. I'm currently re-watching the whole of The Original Series, and I've just about began Season 3. Now, Season 3 is probably my least favorite, but the whole series is still a lot of fun to watch. Watching the regulars of the show interact with each other is a large part of what makes Star Trek, in addition to the voyages; the Five Year Mission itself.
Now, I'm sporadically watching this series, so I might get finished around summertime at my current pace. After The Original Series, I'll consider jumping straight to The Next Generation if Netflix still offers it on their instant playing option by then. However, Netflix isn't known for keeping an entire series on there, either. As of right now, just see the current state of the James Bond movies, for example. It wasn't long ago that they were all, with the exception of Daniel Craig's newer films, instantly viewable.
